Photo: Ron Swenson
Chendebji, Bhutan •• Nov. 13, 2002 •• SolarQuest® iNet News Service •• A photo essay.

The covered footbridge leading to Chendebji village is a well-known landmark in Bhutan. In the background is Chendebji primary school where the SolarQuest distance learning program is to be implemented.

Soon after we arrived, the children all gathered to have their picture taken. They love to have their picture taken!

An offering at the celebration of the King's birthday on November 11

e7 team members were seated as guests of honor, as were elders in the community, plus Buddhist monks and others doing a feature film in Chendebji village.

Young women sang and danced for the villagers and guests as part of the celebration.

The parade and singing was followed by sporting events for children in the village. This is the start of the Kangaroo race!
